eRFQ

eRFQ - The Challenge

Many shippers currently engage in a paper-based process to request quotes from carriers and compile the results for selection. This periodic exercise can be time-consuming, expensive and frustrating. For large organizations, compliance between divisions is difficult. Access to supporting data can be poor. Additionally, distribution to various carriers, negotiations throughout the process, response format non-compliance and incompatibility with carrier software packages can create further issues with capturing accurate information.

Once selections are made, the separate RFQ process can be difficult to integrate into ongoing freight operations. It is difficult to enforce response rules from carriers, and it is typically inefficient to access negotiated contract data in an automated-dispatch fashion.

eRFQ - The CarrierPoint Solution

CarrierPoint has designed an easy-to-use, efficient tool for conducting web-based RFQs and fully integrating it with CarrierPoint's transportation execution tools. System users define the RFQ response rules, design an approval process, enforce carrier compliance with bid formats, provides analysis of responses and efficiently presents lane bid and contract information. Perhaps most importantly, the eRFQ tool is integrated with our execution tools to automatically update the rating engine and enforce compliance with automated rating and tendering business rules.
